It was at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX where Brian received his bachelor's degree and went on to complete his Masters of Taxation at the Sturm College of Law in Denver, Colorado. Brian is a qualified auditor of payroll service bureaus and used to travel the country doing so, giving advice and teaching best-practices to independent payroll providers. He is called on nationally for his talent and expertise in software applications, taxation, internal controls and governmental regulations.
Robyn is our longest-serving employee having started as a CRS in 2006 and working her way up to Operations Manager. She has a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Missouri State University as well as the Fundamental Payroll Certification, Certified Payroll Professional certification, and the Professional in Human Resources certification.
Savanna graduated from Missouri State University in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Human Resource Management. Since then, she's been working in payroll. In her free time, she enjoys watching all things Star Wars, planning fake Disney World trips, and imagining theme park rides that will never be built. Two of her favorite things about working with our clients is getting to know them and figuring out how to make the system work best for their business and processes. She also enjoys when they send pet photos to her.

There is one Queen among the #petsofaplus and that is 'Aurora'. She shares her home with our Implementation manager, Savanna. Since her last appearance, she has made a list of grievances she would like to share with the world. They include but are not limited to: there was a dog that barked outside one time, and that really offended her; a wasp landed on her window so she couldn't sleep; and roughly 34 days ago, her automatic feeder dispensed her food approximately 3.01 seconds late. However, she has discovered that if she stares at a wall for five minutes and yells at it, she can make her mother think there's a bug. Once her mother gets up to check, she leaves and takes a nap. She also wanted to let everyone know that despite her name, her favorite Disney character is Scar.
Our CSS Wendy has been with us since 2015 and received her FPC certification in 2017. She originally went to school for computer programming, and had over 8 years of Accounting/Payroll experience before joining us.
Hannah has been with APlus Payroll since January 2017. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management and Administrative Management from Missouri State University. She also worked in Human Resources and Payroll for 3 1/2 years prior to coming to the APlus family. With her husband, she enjoys visiting Table Rock Lake and being outdoors. She also loves to bake!
Jessica joined the APlus team in May of 2017. She has a Bachelor of Science in HR Management with a minor in Accounting. Having worked in the HR/Payroll field since March 2015, she began using Workforce Ready in September of 2016! She also earned her Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation in August 2020. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 fur babies, and also loves painting, puzzles, and coloring!
Jess has been with APlus Payroll since August 2017. She has worked in Payroll for 10 years, specializing in payroll taxes, timekeeping, customer service, and more. Jess is a native of Republic Missouri, moving to Springfield in 2003. She has 2 cats, 2 dogs, 1 husband, and lots of fish. She loves singing and playing music, creative writing, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
Our CSS Courtney started her journey in Payroll/HR on an Air Force base in Germany, where she grew up! Upon returning to the States, she went on to get her bachelor's degree in HR from Missouri State, graduating in 2014 with minors in Economics and Art. She joined Aplus in 2018. At home, she has a beautiful daughter, 2 big old dogs, and 2 surly but loving cats.
Megan has been with A Plus since August of 2017 as the friendly voice and face you normally hear or see first when contacting the office. She is married with a 3 year old son and 2 puppies. Her hobbies include listening to true crime podcasts and shows and doing DIY projects. She loves living life to the fullest and making time to enjoy it with her family.
Tara graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor of science in Human Resources Management and has 7 years experience in the HR Field. She really enjoys getting to know her clients and helping them with their day to day needs as well as finding solutions for them. She also loves spending time with her husband, James, and their dog, Roxie. Her hobbies include playing D&D, cooking/baking, going on walks, gaming, and doing crafty things.
Lee has been with APlus since January 2020, having previously had payroll experience with fast food franchises across the United States. He graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and has lived in Springfield for 6 years now. In his spare time, he likes just being outside, playing games, being on a lake, and a good game of pickup basketball or football.
Elisabeth joined A Plus in April 2020. From Fair Play, Missouri, she graduated from SBU with a Bachelors in Business Management in 2017 before receiving her MBA from SBU in May of 2019. I worked in HR for two and a half years prior to coming to A Plus. She is married with a dog named Dexter. She considers herself an ‘ambivert’, having many interests and hobbies including music (playing and performing), reading, listening to podcasts, watching TV and spending time in nature. She would also love to own a pastry truck one day!
Joining us in 2020, Melisa brings her expertise 10 years in Human Resources at all levels from HR Administrative Assistant to HR Manager in diverse industries from woodworking & metalworking machinery to a law firm. She loves the outdoors - Kayaking, fishing, gardening.... I have 2 teenagers and a 5 year old and they are my entire world, the lizards and great dane just add to the chaos
Amy has over 15 years of HR experience, primarily in the manufacturing sector. She has one son and enjoys sports and loves to spend their time exploring the outdoors at a state park or on the water. She gets the greatest reward working with our clients to solve puzzles, in her role as an HRIS Specialist, figuring out how to tailor the system to meet the clients needs and preferences.
Alyssa started with us in August 2020 bringing great experience in Payroll and HR. She is pursuing her masters in Social work She loves to travel, is very involved in her Church and community and is getting married in October 2021.
Our intrepid programmer, Michael, joined APlus in 2017. He has had a love of computing since childhood and gained his BS in Computer Information Systems from Missouri State University. When not keeping up with the ever-changing web development world, he can be found in the kitchen cooking meals from scratch, gardening, fixing up his old bungalow home, and spending time with his family and pets.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he has been in the US since 1991 and worked primarily in the hospitality and travel business, owning his own company for over 10 years. He first joined APlus in 2008 as the very first salesperson (and 3rd employee) and recently returned earlier in 2020 as Director of Strategic Initiatives, overseeing sales, service and branding. He has an HND in Media & Communication Studies and is a published author. Over his career he has helped promote people, companies and organizations as diverse as the Scottish Tourist Board, The Osmond Brothers and John Q Hammons Hotels. Paul is married with two adult daughters and lives in Dallas, Texas.
Shannon Thompson joined APlus in October 2020 as our Business Development Manager for the DFW area. Prior to that, she was a Director of Sales in the Hospitality industry. Shannon enjoys building strong relationships within the community and is excited to expand the APlus brand to Texas. In her spare time, Shannon loves camping and spending time with her family and dogs. Her husband and children often refer to her as the “The crazy dog lady.”
Delaney Yocom grew up in the Springfield, MO area and currently resides in Republic with her husband, 2 beautiful children, and 2 ornery dogs. She is a graduate of Missouri State University’s Hospitality Management program. Through Hospitality, she realized her love of delivering excellent service and working hard for her team. She’s passionate about being involved in the community and ensures her family gets involved as well, pursuing their individual callings and making her proud.
Joining in May 2021, Joanna brings approximately twenty years of payroll experience working at two CPA firms and a law firm. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Missouri State University. Joanna lives in Nixa with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs.
